Día 01: Saturday Arrive and transport from the airport to Huatajata, on Lake Titicaca. In the eco-town of “Raíces Andinas” it is an authentic experience in the Andes. Partake in a program of cultural immersion in small village of artisans and fisherman, visiting the Floating Islands, and the clay igloos of the Urus Chipayas culture, meet the Limachi brothers, constructors of gigantic reed-boats like the RA II or the Tigris. Visit the Altiplano museum and at night, visit the mystical world of the Kallawayas, where “El Tata Lorenzo” (“The Papa Lorenzo”) explains methods of healing over the past thousand years, and by reading the sacred coca leaves he can read his future. The Kallawayas are doctors in natural medicine of the Andes, having used Penicillen, Terramicin, and quinine for 2000 years. They believe that first one should cure their soul in order to cure their body, and because of this wisdom, Bolivia is known as the Cradle of Natural Medicine. While you enjoy the sunset, a drink will be waiting for you when you return to your room. At night, visit the Native Alajpacha Observatory to learn about the constellations of the sourthern hemisphere and the cosmo– Vision Aymará (NASA donated two telescopes, which are at the disposal of our clients). Accommodation in the Inca Utama & Spa Hotel (5 stars). Day 2: Sunday American breakfast. Cross to Aliscafo for a complete day in the fisheries where you will see typical reed boats being used. Visit the Temple of the Virgens of the Sun (Templo de las Virgenes del Sol) on the Island of the Moon (Isla de la Luna), the Sacred Fountain (Fuente Sagrada) on the Island of the Sun (Isla del Sol) and the sanctuary of Copacabana. Lunch at the Archaeological Restaurante, Uma Kollu, on the Isla del Sol. Return to land in Huatajata for some amazing landscapres. At night, visit the Alajpacha Native Observatory to learn about the skies of the southern hemisphere and the Aymaras constellations. Day 3: Monday Beginning in the morning, take a half-day visit to the Ruins of Tiwanacu, considered the cradle of American civilizations. Visit the subterranean temples of Kallasasaya and Kontiki, the Door of the Sun (la Puerta del Sol), the pyramid of Akapana, and the mysterious monoliths. Later, spend the other half of the day in the city of La Paz and the Valley of the Moon (Valle de La Luna). Accommodations in the Radisson Plaza Hotel, including a breakfast buffet. Day 4: Tuesday Breakfast buffet. Transportation to the airport to take Flight LAB 920 to the city of Cusco. Transportation from the airport to the hotel in Cusco for a free day of personal activities. Accommodations in the Hotel Sonesta Posada del Inca – Cusco, including a breakfast buffet. Day 5: Wednesday In the afternoon, we offer you a guided visit to the city of Cusco, which includes the Plaza de Armas, Cathedral of Cusco, and the Temple of Koricancha, also showing the spectacular ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. Accommodations in the Hotel Sonesta Posada del Inca – Cusco, including a breakfast buffet. Day 6: Thursday You will begijn a complete day in the Sacred Valley of the Incas (Valle Sagrado de los Incas) in Urubamba, visiting the crafts fair of Pisac and seeing indigenous commerce. After the visit we will offer you lunch in a local restaurant. Later you will visit the Inca fortress of Ollaytantambo. Accommodations in the Hotel Sonesta Posada del Inca – Cusco, including a breakfast buffet. Day 7: Friday Transportation from the hotel to the station to continue by train (choice of clases, coche Inka or vistadome) towards Machupicchu. A refridgerador is included on the train. After arriving in Aguas Calientes you will take a bus to ascend up to the ruins. The admission cost and guided tour at Machupicchu are included. Lunch in the Hotel Machupicchu Sanctuary Lodge. In the afternoon return to Cusco by train. Once you arrive at the station in Cusco you will be transported to your hotel. Accommodation in the Hotel Sonesta Posada del Inca – Cusco, including a breakfast buffet. Day 8: Saturday Transportation from the hotel to the airport to take a flight returning to La Paz via Santa Cruz. In Santa Cruz you will transport to the city. Casual touring of the city. Farewell dinner in the “La Casa del Camba” restaurant. Transportation to the airport to take a return flight to your city.
